Explore the rarely seen backstage areas, from the props room to the paintshop and the wardrobe to the wings. You may even rub shoulders with an actor or stage manager!</p> <p>Learn all about how our productions are brought to life on stage and uncover fascinating facts about The REP&#8217;s rich history. </p> <p>All tours last approximately 90 minutes. As part of our centenary celebration of the theatre, a dedicated and knowledgeable team of volunteers digitised over 3000 items of The REP’s extensive archive and continue to bring it to life through talks. </p> <p>Thursday 15 September, 12pm<br /> <strong>The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe: From Page To Stage</strong><br /> Discover the story behind our record-breaking 2015 Christmas show.</p> <p>Wednesday 9 November, 12pm<br /> <strong>The REP At War</strong><br /> Learn how Birmingham Repertory Theatre survived two world wars.</p> <p>Saturday 10 December, 2pm<br /> <strong>Christmas At The REP</strong><br /> Our Christmas productions have become a must-see Christmas tradition. Uncover their colourful history.</p> <p>We also deliver our <strong>Archive Talks</strong> to a variety of groups in Birmingham such as Women’s Institute groups, U3A groups and Rotary Clubs. We charge a fee of £40 to cover expenses and as a registered charity welcome donations to be made at the event to go towards sustaining The REP for future generations.
